Remove only writer framing newline rather than trimEnd of accepted text. Regression covers read, reindex, restart and revision. 311 tests, typecheck/build pass. Review7b3b70e7d02aaf967af171e4409635921c6ed5adb10b18b85fd8675b17a11201 passed; existing gateway race is fixed independently in PR51, not yet merged.
