Summary

Start fresh workspace-scoped local conversations; explicitly list, title and resume saved sessions with visible history.
Protect the single-writer state ledger and opened histories with ownership locks; preserve legacy histories.
Replace tool-event chat spam with compact live activity, elapsed time, tool/queue counts and outcome styling.
Use language-neutral conversation markers and native Markdown rendering for responses and streamed previews.
Follow output only at the bottom; preserve reading position with clickable Jump to latest and Ctrl+End.
Keep actual model/reasoning information in the footer; preserve SDK embedding and remote channel routing.

Verification

Rebased onto current main including MCP integration changes. Typecheck, build and all 212 tests pass. Terminal smoke tests used simulated runtime events (no live model request). Regression coverage includes session/workspace separation, ownership, history, activity, Markdown, resize, scrolling, click and keyboard navigation.

Limits

One running process per Harness home. Legacy history retained but not automatically imported. Code blocks are formatted; language-specific syntax highlighting is not yet implemented.
