Scope

Periodic calendar ticks may catch up a lost nightly start inside the existing window. Existing night identity, pause, budget and strategy guards are unchanged. Bounded scheduler diagnostics expose callback failures without raw exception data. No monitoring machinery or productive-state edits.

Verification

Full suite: 1128/1128 passing
Typecheck, build and diff check passed
Independent plugin_review passed; no P0/P1. One nonblocking P2: missing constructor strategy in disabled-strategy fixture (tests excluded from project typecheck).
Regression covers concurrent start/periodic ticks, persistence/restart, disabled/pause/window/budget boundaries and diagnostic redaction.

Evidence boundary

Reproduces the installed race; does not prove the historical missed night used that race. Source publication is not activation. No deployment performed.
